STUDENT MEMBERSHIPS

AFWA is proud to support students by offering resources and connections to help kick-start your professional career. Whether you’re a full-time student taking in everything campus-life has to offer, or a part-time student working a full time job and raising a family – we support you and your ambition to succeed in the accounting and finance industries.

Is there a Chapter near me?

  • Professional Chapters: Even as a student, you can join a professional chapter of AFWA. We love connecting students with professionals, because no matter your career stage, we can all learn from eachother! Our professional chapters are active in hosting educational and networking events, and most chapters offer local scholarship programs. You may even work with the professional chapter to start a local student network offering unique programming, and on-campus events.

  • Student Chapters: AFWA currently has two student chapters, at Mississippi State University and Illinois State University. These are on-campus chapters supported by University advisors. If there is interest on your campus for starting a student chapter of AFWA, please contact chapters@AFWA.org.

  • Member-At-Large: hundreds of women are members of AFWA without being directly affiliated with a local Chapter. As a member-at-large you maintain all the benefits of AFWA, including access to scholarships and review courses, connections to a supportive network of women, online continuing education opportunities, and more.
