How to clear your cache on an iphone:
Safari
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Safari.
- Tap Clear History and Website Data.
- Confirm by tapping Clear History and Data.
Chrome
- Open the Chrome app.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the bottom-right corner.
- Go to History > Clear Browsing Data.
- Select All Time as the time range.
- Check the boxes for Cookies, Site Data and Cached Images and Files.
- Tap Clear Browsing Data.
Individual Apps
For other apps, you may need to clear the cache within the app settings or by offloading the app:
- Open the Settings app.
- Go to General > iPhone Storage.
- Select the app you want to clear the cache for.
- Tap Offload App to free up storage without deleting the app’s data.
- Alternatively, you can delete and reinstall the app to clear its cache.
How to clear your cache on an android device:
Clear App Cache
- Open Settings: Go to the Settings app on your Android device.
- Select Apps: Tap on Apps or App Management.
- Choose the App: Select the app for which you want to clear the cache.
- Storage & Cache: Tap on Storage & Cache or Storage.
- Clear Cache: Tap Clear Cache.
Clear Browser Cache (Google Chrome)
- Open Chrome: Open the Chrome app.
- Menu: Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- History: Go to History > Clear browsing data.
- Time Range: Select All time as the time range.
- Data Types: Check the boxes for Cookies and site data and Cached images and files.
- Clear Data: Tap Clear data.
Clear System Cache (if applicable)
- Power Off: Turn off your device.
- Recovery Mode: Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously until the device logo appears.
- Navigate: Use the volume buttons to navigate to Wipe cache partition and select it with the power button.
- Confirm: Confirm the action and wait for the process to complete.
- Reboot: Select Reboot system now.
