Accounting and Financial Women's Alliance

Programs and Services

The Foundation programs promote and advance education, career development and leadership in finance and accounting. Our goals are realistic and take both an external and internal focus.Through our scholarship program, the Foundation supports the financial needs of students pursuing undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degrees in finance and accounting. Our scholarships also help alleviate the financial constraints of obtaining a CPA, CFP, CFE, CIA, CMA, or CVA certification; designations that the profession requires for advancement within the industry.

The Foundation holds various fundraising events throughout the year to support our programs. Events at AFWA Spring Conferences and at the AFWA National Conference are very popular and we raise significant funds because of your support and involvement. Throughout the year, we rely on personal donations. If you or your company would like to invest in the success of current and future accounting and financial leaders, you can do so by making a charitable donation on the Foundation Donate Page.Giving to The Foundation has never been easier! You can now support The Foundation and its programming with an optional $10 donation, automatically added to your annual AFWA membership renewal.

Educational Advancement Programs: The Foundation, through their educational advancement initiative, is seeking to partner with dynamic organizations and members to increase awareness and provide resources for women in the community to strengthen their skillset in various areas including: networking, leadership, entrepreneurship, finance management, and career and personal development.
