In June, ASWA released The 2012 ASWA Special Report on Diversity in the Accounting and Finance Fields wherein it examined the lack of gender and racial diversity in senior positions of accounting and finance firms and explored how a homogeneous workforce becomes a liability. To write the report, ASWA collaborated with ALPFA, Ascend and the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), and has invited the leaders of each organization to participate in a special panel discussion that promises to touch upon and expand on its important findings. Continuing Professional Education Hours
Select from 62 hours of CPE credit to earn up to 23 hours of credits at the Annual Conference for Accounting and Financial Women. Three days of sessions are offered during the meeting with topics of interest to those in public and private accounting as well as education and government. Attendees are responsible for determining their individual state’s requirements for CPE.

ASWA is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State Boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses of CPE credit.
